Takaya Tours leads participants on an unforgettable journey across the waters and back through time on 35-foot traditional style ocean-going canoes. While they explore the rich marine coastlines of səlilwət (Burrard Inlet),experienced guides share legends, songs, and stories that help to create memories that will last a lifetime.

The Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada (ITAC)’s annual awards gala acknowledges the accomplishments of national Indigenous tourism operators and serves as a platform to elevate and promote Indigenous culture, heritage and economic development. These awards recognize excellence from Indigenous-owned tourism associations, businesses, entrepreneurs, and people from across Canada who have demonstrated exceptional work in leadership, partnership, development and marketing, and business ethics.

Tsleil-Waututh Nation and the Province of BC have co-developed and co-signed an updated marine water quality policy, called xaɬəmət ct tə səlilwət / Water Quality Objectives for səlilwət (Burrard Inlet). xaɬəmət ct tə səlilwət means “protect Burrard Inlet” in the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language.
