səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) & Evolve E-Bike Share Partner for More Accessible, Connected Transportation

North Vancouver, BC – December 1, 2025 – BCAA’s Evolve E-Bike Share is expanding services on Vancouver’s North Shore through a meaningful partnership with səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation), and by extending service along Dollarton Highway into Parkgate and Deep Cove. These two initiatives add more e-bike parking stations to better connect more North Shore communities.

Evolve’s pilot expansion in səlilwətaɬ lands adds four new parking stations, as well as several within the District of North Vancouver, offering locals, visitors, and commuters more sustainable ways to explore a greater area of the North Shore.

The new partnership between səlilwətaɬ and Evolve focuses on improving access to transport for the Nation’s Members within the community and enhancing connections with neighbouring communities. As part of this collaboration, Evolve has introduced new e-bike stations on səlilwətaɬ land, designed to support local mobility needs. A new Tsleil-Waututh Nation Benefit Rate also aims to reduce transportation barriers, offering Nation Members over 70% off standard pricing across all Evolve service areas.

“This partnership embraces our active transportation goals by encouraging walking and cycling as alternatives to driving,” said Chief Justin George, Tsleil-Waututh Nation. “As leaders in sustainable energy management, this pilot program will contribute to our efforts to reduce transportation-related greenhouse gas emissions within our community and strengthen relations with our neighbors, contributing to a healthy and sustainable future.”

“We are incredibly proud to deepen our North Shore connections by expanding east into Deep Cove and by starting this meaningful partnership with the Tsleil-Waututh Nation,” shared Leanne Buhler, Head of Evolve. “The value of this collaboration lies in making accessible, active transportation a reality for everyone. Our benefit rate for Tsleil-Waututh Nation members underscores our commitment to inclusive access to convenient, active travel choices and strong community collaboration to ensure our services bring real benefits to everyone we serve.”

Getting started with Evolve E-Bikes is simple. Users download the Evo app (available on iOS and Android), complete a quick registration, and use it to locate available e-bikes. Riders scan the QR code on the device to unlock and start their journey, ending at any designated parking location shown in the app.
