Tsleil-Waututh is proud to be named #1, alongside Musqueam Indian Band and the Squamish Nation, for Vanmag’s 2022 Power 50 List. This list showcases impactful and influential people are groups. This recognition is for leadership and contributions made, including work on the Vancouver Art Gallery, the first Indigenous-led bid to host the 2030 Olympic Games in Vancouver, and the work of the MST Development Corporation. The Power 50 list recognizes change makers, people, and groups to watch this year. We are thrilled to be included and have the work of our Tsleil-Waututh community highlighted to the Greater Vancouver community.

Explore Our New Water Quality Data Dashboard
səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) has created a new data dashboard to visualize water quality information from across səlilwət (Burrard Inlet). Contamination has left səlilwət largely unable to support səlilwətaɬ needs and ways of life. Around 700 contaminants have been detected in the Inlet, posing risks to shared water values, including human consumption of seafood, cultural practices, recreation, aquatic life, and wildlife.

Media Release: Tsleil-Waututh Nation Files Judicial Review of the Second Narrows Dredging Works Project 
On July 8, 2026, Tsleil-Waututh Nation (TWN) filed a judicial review to overturn the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s (VFPA) permit allowing the VFPA to dredge tsa-ah-nah (Second Narrows area) of səlilwət (Burrard Inlet).
