2025 səlilwətaɬ Chief and Council Election Results

In accordance with the First Nations Elections Act, səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh Nation) held an election on Friday, June 13, 2025 to elect one (1) Chief and six (6) Councillors for the next term of office, beginning July 1, 2025 and ending on June 29, 2029.

In total, there were 269 ballots cast for each race. Thank you all our səlilwətaɬ Members who voted by mail-in ballot, Advanced Polls, or on Election Day in this year’s election!

Ballot counting began after the poll closed at 8:00 pm on June 13, 2025. After ballots for the sixth Councillor seat were recounted, the results were finalized by midnight on June 13 and shared with Members immediately.
